The Pier Paolo Pasolini Research Center and Archive organizes film retrospectives, exhibitions and conferences about the writer-director around the world.

Retrospectives and conferences have been held in Ankara, Lisbon, Munich, Cracow, Frankfurt, Zurich, Helsinki, Istanbul and New York.

For the thirtieth anniversary of Pasolini’s death (2005) a special exhibition was held in the exhibition hall of the Cineteca: Una strategia del linciaggio e delle mistificazioni. L'immagine di Pasolini nelle deformazioni mediatiche curated by Gianluigi Toccafondo. That same year the Pasolini Research Center worked on the Pasolini und der Tod exhibition curated by the Pinakothek in Munich. In 2006, the center co-curated the photo exhibition Pasolini: un cinema di poesia at the Mole Antonelliana in Turin with the National Cinema Museum, and the photo exhibition Pasolini un corpo d'inquietudine with the Portuguese Cinemateca.

In 2007, the Pier Paolo Pasolini Research Center and FMR - Franco Maria Ricci - Art'è co-organized an exhibition of photos by Mario Tursi Pasolini, Callas e "Medea" (FMR Gallery, Bologna), which was later held in Ravenna and will travel to Paris and Madrid. Also in 2007, the center curated a show of photos by Angelo Novi, Pasolini: the Body's Truth, at the Italian Cultural Institute of New York.
