We are happy to have John Boorman as one of our guests this year. A visionary director known for films such as Deliverance, Hell in the Pacific, Excalibur and Hope and Glory. Born in London in 1933 and part of the New Hollywood generation, Boorman will present his 1967 feature film Point Blank in Piazza Maggiore and will meet with the Il Cinema Ritrovato’s audience after the screening of the documentary about him Me and Me Dad (2012), directed by his daughter Katrine.
Tra gli ospiti di quest’anno, grande attesa per l’arrivo di John Boorman, regista visionario celebre per titoli come Un tranquillo week-end di paura, Duello nel Pacifico, Excalibur, Anni ‘40. Il regista, nato a Londra nel 1933 e cresciuto alla scuola della New Hollywood, presenterà in Piazza Maggiore il suo lungometraggio del 1967 Point Blank e incontrerà il pubblico del Cinema Ritrovato dopo la proiezione del documentario Me and Me Dad (2012), a lui dedicato dalla figlia Katrine.
