The library

The building housing the Cineteca’s library and archives has a surface area of 735 square meters open to the public. At the entrance, there is a welcome desk for general information and directions, close to the first row of computers for catalog consultation and Internet use. The library has lockers for storing personal items. The open shelving area has 60 seats and is where material directly accessible to the public can be consulted. The floor above is home to photography and graphic arts books and periodicals, the Crime Library and comics.

Access

Access is free. Anyone may do research, study, consult, listen or view the documents, and participate in cultural events organized by the library. The study is used primarily for consulting library materials, but is open to a maximum of ten people doing research in other areas. The periodicals and archival collections can be consulted only upon request to a librarian, while the books on the open shelves can be accessed immediately.
